主講人簡(jiǎn)介:Yiming Ying is currently a Professor at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Sydney. Previously, he held the position of Professor at SUNY Albany and served as the founding director of ML@UAlbany, a machine learning lab at the university. His research interests span Statistical Learning Theory, Trustworthy Machine Learning, and Optimization.
Dr. Ying has received notable recognitions for his academic contributions, including the University at Albany's Presidential Award for Excellence in Research and Creative Activities (2022) and the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities (2023). His research has been supported by NSF funding exceeding $1M within the last 5 years. Dr. Ying serves as an associate editor for prominent journals such as Analysis and Applications, Transactions on Machine Learning Research, and Mathematical Foundation of Computing.He regularly holds key roles as an Area Chair for major machine learning conferences, including NeurIPS, ICML, and AISTATS.
